EyeTech Support: Privacy Policy

This Privacy Statement governs the processing of Personal Information we collect from our customers throughout the process of conducting customer support and handling of data that is left on devices returned to EyeTech Support for repair (RMA).

Please refer to our EyeTech Privacy Policy above to understand how information is used outside of customer support.

EyeTech is committed to protecting our customer’s data.

Information Collection and Use

Personal Information we request may include your email address, name, home address and telephone number.

Throughout the troubleshooting process, questions may be asked related to the medical condition of those using our devices, but only if it is believed to have a direct relation to the troubleshooting of any issues.

This information is not shared externally and is only shared with the EyeTech employees that may need this information to diagnose or troubleshoot the issue.

Access to Personal Data

EyeTech’s only means of accessing personal data on your device would be through a remote support session or when a device is sent back to EyeTech for repair (RMA).

EyeTech will not collect any information on the device that is not directly related to the issue diagnosis or troubleshooting of an issue.

Security

If a device is received by EyeTech and will not be returned to that customer, EyeTech will sanitize the data on the hard drive of the device to permanently remove all data. This method includes an erasure of the drive mapping table and erases all blocks that have been written to the drive to ensure secure removal and protection of data.
