Technology is changing everything from urgent medical diagnostics, how we interact with our screens (Smart Phone, PC, or TV) or monitoring our level of awareness and emotional state while driving our cars. EyeTechDS Inc. will demonstrate new ways of testing for concussions from the sidelines using a VR headset, how cars can read our cognitive and emotional state, and new ways to control our screens using our touch-free eye control technology.

About EyeTech Digital Systems, Inc
Founded in 1996, EyeTech designs algorithms, hardware, and software for eye tracking systems used in speech devices which help paralyzed individuals communicate and control their computer hands-free using only eye movements. The technology is now being incorporated into emerging industrial and consumer applications in medical diagnostic solutions for neurological testing, simulation and training solutions, vehicle safety, security, gaming, wearable VR/AR solutions and more.
Concussion is a traumatic brain injury that affects your brain function. Effects are usually temporary but can include headaches and problems with concentration, memory, balance and coordination.1
Current scientific methods to quickly assess for a potential concussion include the King-Devick Test (K-D Test) of rapid number naming which requires eye movements as well as attention, language, concentration and other areas whose functions correlate with suboptimal brain function.2 Eye tracking technology combined with the K-D Test brings more quantitative tools to brain injury management.3 Utilizing EyeTechDS Inc. technology, the King-Devick Eye Tracking System’s real-time automated data measurement and visualizations of eye movements provides a detailed assessment of oculomotor function during performance of the King-Devick Test allowing for quantification of injury severity and recovery progression.4
EyeTech earned the Grand Prize at Metro Phoenix Export Alliance’s (MPEXA’s) Export Challenge competition last night and $25k which will be used towards expanding distribution in Japan, India and China to help spread #EyeTracking across the world
“Our technology helps people anywhere so being a global company really helps diversify our revenue stream,” said Keith Jackson, Director of Sales & Marketing, EyeTech Digital Systems, and Export Challenge grand prize award winner. “I would recommend any business looking at exporting their product or services overseas connect with MPEXA. By not exporting, we miss out on over 7 billion people who could benefit from our product.”

A big thank you to MPEXA for enabling the spread of technology abroad.
At the University of West Bohemian, Pilsen, Czech Republic, an interesting comparison of different e-shops was performed with MangoldVision. Daniela Vlková from the Faculty of Economics used eye tracking to demonstrate the advantages of this technology for the improvement of the tested e-shops.
Comparison of a selected group of e-shops by eye camera (eyetracking)
For the documentation and analysis of the study, the MangoldVision eye tracking system was used, including the VT3 mini eye tracker and the analysis software MangoldVision.
