Users of eye tracking technology are sometimes concerned with
the ability of the eye tracker to function under a variety of
lighting conditions, in particular when there is sunlight
illumination. EyeTech Digital Systems recently tested a Quick
Glance 3 tracking module in a vehicle during daylight hours. The
system was set up to track the driver's gaze while operating the
vehicle. The results were encouraging, with no discernible
problems caused by sunlight. The vehicle was driven in all
four compass directions on a sunny day in Mesa, Arizona. |

In the August 22nd edition of the science journal "Nature", an
article appeared describing a software program called "Dasher"
which allows users to type at high-speed with their eyes when
combined with an eye tracker. This was developed by a Cambridge
University team which used our Quick Glance Eye Gaze Tracker in
their development and testing process.
Numerous press organizations picked up the story which resulted
in publicity for Dasher and indirectly, for Quick Glance.
